  • The Polyorcetic Club

It appears that the suggestion to include a War Council in our institutions is not adopted, or if it is, it will be reduced to the planning of military units building, which is necessary of course, but let the problem of how these units will be used unanswered. One could be satisfied that the General commanding the Army is competent (which is superbly true), and that, now and then someone come with interesting ideas, but one can also anticipate that war against humans is a much more difficult exercise than against the AI, and therefore that an effort must be conducted to think about strategy and tactics, before the enemy cross our borders.

The difficulty against humans will results from a much better tactical behaviour, from the impossibility to reach an overwhelming superiority and from the unexpected enemy plans. As a consequence, any HP has a great worth, let alone a unit.

The Polyorcetic Club is the place where the Nobles will come and discuss to answer (or at least try) strategic and tactical matters in depth. Among the topics we could find:
    - Have we learned something from the Vox/GS War?
    - Defence of the North Border (The current plan is described, and a team set up the enemy plan to break our defence)
    - Defence of our coasts (idem)
    - Offensive in the North (idem)
    - Doctrine of use of available units
    - Doctrine of use of terrain improvements (fortresses, radars, …)
    - Etc.

If you are interested in this approach, either open a new tread, with a title beginning by The Polyorcetic Club (War Academy anyone?), on the topic of your choice, or participate in the threads already opened.

Nota : As you probably know, the polyorcetique is the science for attacking and defending fortified cities and fortresses.
    Statistical anomaly.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
