I don't know how either .... I had thought it was possible, but to be honest I have no notion where I got that idea from.

I've seen controls to set the difficulty level the AI plays at, and you can set the difficulty level player by player in the custom player properties settings. But what I want is for the AI players to play with the same advantages they get in SP games at Monarch, and I'm skeptical that simply setting the four human players to Monarch level would accomplish that. And changing the level the AIs play at is another type of change entirely, and not something I really want to mess with.

I don't know about the difficulty, however I would llove it if it was something harder then chieftain, certainly with 4 AIs around. Otherwise, we risk that they don't have enough cities for us to take
Order: could FP come before me? He's 1 hour ahead of me, so normally that would be optimal (it won't change much, though, no biggie)
Civ choice: Nathan if you like Egypt, I'll take the Ottomans.

I notice that almost everyone (including me) wants to play Industrious Civs in MP.
Apart from the fact that it's a powerful trait, is it popular because it makes the game more fun if your workers work twice as fast (more to do when it's your turn)? If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

According to the Apolyton member information, you're at GMT+1 while FP is at GMT. That would put you an hour ahead of him. Is that information not accurate?

No problem on the civ choice, I'm starting to like the Ottomans too Although it will prevent me from building a temple before a scout
GTM+1 is correct, I messed up in counting.... sorry about that. I should be before FP indeed. Those time things are always confusing, and I'm not terribly fresh atm

Damn, sorry about the difficulty thing. I never saw any option to set it when I made the map, but it's possible I missed it somehow. I'm just not very experienced with making scenarios (in CivIII).
If there is a way of doing it, I will gladly fix it up, as I still have the map saved on my desktop.

I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it. I have the scenario Arrian was kind enough to set up, but PtW won't let me set the difficulty level (on it or on any of the scenarios that came with the game that I've tried to load PBEM thus far), and AIs below Monarch level would be mere cannon fodder.
If you folks want to see if you have any better luck setting a difficulty level on scenarios, you're welcome to, and if someone else's machine is more cooperative than mine, someone else could start the game. (You can use scenarios that come with PtW as test dummies.)

I'm totally ignorant when it comes to scenarios, I haven't played with any of them yet. I'll try, but not today (still relaxing from the week), so if someone else finds something: good. Otherwise, we should do something to the placement of the AIs, e.g. give them all 2 cows on their capital site (which may not be a good idea once we capture them, though)
