I wonder how much it will cost to steal the plans one more time, then hunt down all naval units and cast a naval net around Abilene (to prevent escapepods or an attempt on us.
Lego has no choice now but for anarchy the rest of the game, otherwise they will soon be losing a unit a turn.
Maybe move new inchon 9 to allow for troops to move in and out (otherwise arties will hit the road each turn) from that position we can use arties and from ft spinebreaker GoW can use arties. Maybe another city to the south at Abiline 2-2 to hem them in even further and take a few more tiles.
Pound pound pound. maybe we can take out the barracks in the first several turns, maybe knock the population down. If in anarchy, they can't rebuild the barracks.
Maybe we should just maintain a large prescence in our gate city and just wait for nukes. Kill all the navy, create a blockade and sit back.
Interesting. I'm glad its 90% inf. and not tanks. OTOH, if Vox gets computers soon (free tech) and lego can upgrade those som*****es somehow (I guess vox gives them the requisite resources)....

Biding our time wrt the upcoming siege has certain advantages, especially if we're aiming for the UN victory.
We could make it look like this is what we have in mind (we could say that we're waitin till Lego is out till we make any major decision on the foreign front). This way we keep GoW busy with helping us, and ND with planning on how to end GoW/our/both of us existence, while we plot our 1-turn Lego's destruction+UN build+victort vote.
Could actually work, though the disadvantages for keeping Lego around are numerous.Save the rainforests!

Guys, my apologies for not posting this earlier. I had to leave urgently for my parents' home. I'm not sure if I posted that my mother was taken to hospital on Saturday (not the first time, she is frequently ill, most of the times seriously), but as of yesterday she is back home. However, as the rest of my family is on holiday (normally my sisters take care of my parents when my mother is sick), I went home to help in the housekeeping. I plan to return on Sunday.
In short: my internet access is very limited right now, and I don't have Civ installed here. I can't play the save. So, either we wait until after Christmass, or someone (CH?) takes over for a turn... it's the same for me.
I'll try to check in later today.

I'm afraid I have the workload from hell at the moment.
I will be working solidly for at least the next five days - including christmas & boxing day plus the public holidays next week. I've had to cancel a holiday to Spain and all seasonal niceties to get a system in on time which has already been postponed once. Sorry, I can't do it.

DeepO - sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she feels better.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

Thanks Arrian. We're used to it, and at least this time she didn't need surgery. It was over a year since her last hospital stay, which is the longest period in the past 20 years. She had over 30 surgeries in that time, most of them very serious (stomach pacemaker and stuff like that). But it still hurts.

Let the game sit until next week... this is a fairly, err, crtical period, and you, especially, DeepO, should be able to focus, even if not acting as turnplayer.
Best wishes to your family.
And CH, I hope that after finishing the system, I hope you can take a bit of time off.The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

Take care DeepO and best regards to your mum.Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus
