  • Council Meeting of the Blue City.

    Citizens of the Blue City
    1) Spiffor X
    2) Octavian X
    3) Esoteric X
    4) Ennet
    5) Aidun X
    6) =OttomusCeasar= X
    7) ZargonX
    8) GhengisFarb X

Fellow Blue Citizens! We have many issues we need to address! It appears likely the Worker within our city limits shall be ours.

It appears we need to discuss and decide the following:

What name shall we give our city.
Who shall be our city's Despot.
What shall we do with our city's Worker.

What name shall we give our city.

My suggestions: "X", "Liberapolis" aka City of Liberals, "Glorious City Free from the the Taint of Any Mountains".

Who shall be our city's Despot.
Personal views on our city's future:

    1) Finish building the Warrior.

Then poll and abide by the majority vote of the city's citizens for future builds.

I would also propose a new law:

That all citizens of Blue City willingly agree to NEVER pillage a tile within Blue City's radius. And that should any tile in Blue City's radius be pillaged by another Mayan, ALL Blue City citizens will apply all our resources and assets to destroy and brutalize the aggressor responsible and the aggressor's assets.

To go into effect this law must be agreed upon by each and every current citizen of Blue City. Should this be done, this law will then be binding on all current citizens of Blue City and all future citizens who later acquire tiles in Blue City.

What shall we do with our city's Worker.

I would propose that he finish improving Lord Zargon's land. Then move south to road Lord Spiffor's land (and connect us to the Capital), then move to =OttomusCeasar's land and road and irrigate it.

The reason I think OC's land should be improved is the following:
    1) He's only getting one shield now and the rest of us are getting at least three of something.
    2) Irrigated Desert tiles give 2 food AND a shield.

Ghengis, I agree with your law.

Shouldn't we improve the best tiles first? If we improve the best lands first, we can have a bigger production than the other cities.

All we would get from improving a floodplain is one food. We get 2 food and a tile that also produces a shield from that desert. Plus, I'm roleplaying that liberal socialist concept of helping everyone to be equals by bringing OC's tile up to our level.

Don't tell me your going capitalist on me, Aidun!

          Let's see...

I agree with the proposed law. We need not worry about protecting ourselves from ourselves.

And, I'm with Aidun when it comes to tiles. Admittedly, as liberal as I am, it only makes sense in civ to improve the best tiles.

I agree with your proposal, GF. The 'no pillaging' law is a step towards greater prestige for our noble city X. We appear to be organizing into a kind of city-state already, and I say go for it.

I would like to add that on the tile development, I believe our priorty should be to connect to the capitol and then develop the best tiles to make our city strong. If we get ahead of the production game, we can build additional workers and get more done- then 'rent' them out, right?

With added production (Forest and Deserts) I was thinking we could potentially build Wonders. Man would I love to have the Temple of Zeus.

I was thinking we have eight citizens so a Warrior, then either a Granary or Settler. Each citizen getting one new tile from the Settler and citizen's bidding on tile picking order. All proceeds to go to the City's treasury.

Currently, with the most recent proposal:

Pop X Per Capita + Commerce

                  1 X 1 + 3 = 4 (x100) = 400 gold

                  Owner (Food/Shield/Commerce)

                  1) Spiffor (2/0/1)
                  2) Octavian X (2/0/1)
                  3) Esoteric (1/2/1)
                  4) Ennet (2/0/1)
                  5) Aidun (1/2/1)
                  6) =OttomusCeasar= (0/1/0)
                  7) ZargonX (3/1/1)
                  8) GhengisFarb (3/0/2)

I would like to nominate GengisFarb for Council Elder since he seems have a firm grasp of how all of this may end up working.

Is there anychance I could get some kind of bidding bonus as UberKrux suggested for Thrumble in the tile bids for the Settler we may be building?

                        I would definitely support it.

Here's some different distributions of Good Prices, unfortunately since OC only produces one item he gets the short end in every model.
