YES to random personalities
How much difference does the personality make anyway? Aggressiveness sure, but shouldn't we be planning for that regardless of the faction? Random events ROCK, and pods can make things a lot easier. We should show we can beat it without that.

Yes to all except the Bell Curve (which is good, as it tends to restrict the leading player who will usually be the human team)- makes for unpredictability, forces thinking "outside the box"
