My main objective was to stop your spaceship landing in 1840. That was fully achieved. The problem I have is your civ should have gone into civil war and didn't.
Makeo will confirm the no alliance thing because you don't have to revolt to declare war in a Democracy IF you get your ally to ask you to declare war.. DUH!
