so lads, what's the status of this game?

i'm back from holidays and giddy to get going with this one

if not, would it be ok, if we play without you? you can always take over an AI should it work nonetheless...

i doubt if tom will be playing either but you could just see if he responds to his turn and then AI him if not

The last news was that tech support wants the exact error message Lump was getting. I guess if Lump remembers it we could tell them, but I don't foresee them being able to give us much help since we seem to be the only ones with the problem.

Is the pitboss exe the same for both the US and EU versions? If they're different I wonder if it would work for everyone using the EU version, or if it would run at all with everything else being US.

It's up and running now, same address and port (2058). If it still doesn't work, if you want to take a screenshot of the error I can send it to the tech support.

okay i tried again, same old problem. Have sent an email with screenshots to aebbeka and sabre

After a week, still no response from tech support about Lump's errors. So much for "You should expect a response from us within 24 hours."

How about this. In the meantime, we start a new game as a regular PBEM. Then when, if ever, we get the Pitboss issue solved, we just load the game up in Pitboss. (i just tried it, it works)

Sorry but PBEM is that little bit too much hassle for me with my new mac set up. But please go ahead without me, you may as well play on pitboss.

honestly?, you can load PBEMs as pitboss? awesome!!!
i don't assume the other way round is possible?

So shall we continue without Lump then?
Continue the one that's already started and make Lump and Tom AI? Or start a new smaller game?

i'd say, let's continue that one with them as AI - they can always take over again once it works for them (the AI tend to start out quite well in BtS thanks to blake's AI).
