Wait wait wait. I want to change my civ. Roosevelt just looks so boring in his picture.

I am thinking between Pericles (philo and creative), Suleiman (imperialistic and philo) and Suryavarman, (creative and expansive).

All have much more interesting pics.

If we're going to play with a small (5 player) map, then I see no need to press for higher sealevels.

Now that "slacker Beta" has picked his civ it looks like we can get on with this game.

80% seas is okay with me if it's a normal size map, 70% if it's the smaller map (what I really meant by saying normal was "normal for 5 civs", but I didn't get that point across very well). So that looks like it has passed.

Snoop can you set up the game when you have a chance? Thanks again for hosting.

So - i am not clear what was decided about the financial civ thing - even after reading the thread.

But that is OK, as I will pick Roosevelt, in honour of Rhoth's return.

You can have high seas, low seas and medium seas. I only proposed it because you liked a normal sized map for 5 players, so thought the less land this option gives wouldn't hurt expansion
Oh, duh. I need to think before I post when it's nearing midnight.

You're lucky, I was tempted to take the Celts.

Beta, you're the last one...tick tock, tick tock.

I'd still prefer to keep the snaky pangaea.

I'll take Isabella, assuming she's not financial, and Ethiopia if she is.

Oh, and High Seas are fine with me as well.

Because the rest of us live in North America. You're from the old world of Europe (and it was the only thing I could think of offhand since I don't know you very well).

BTW, that's still better than one I did a few years ago. I gave the tag "Space Cadet" to Sharpe because of his space avatar. Naturally I completely forgot about the other connotations of that for a while.

You take Gilgamesh? Mmm, what would be the best counter... I know! Portugal has the best changes of sailing away from pesky Vultures!

And with both the civs choosen sofar, raging barbs isn't so dangerous, so it's fine with me.

Oh, any chance for sneaking in high seas as a map setting?

I've updated the first thread with a few items. We still have to decide on Geo's peaceful conversion topic, and whether to have normal or raging barbs.

I'm not entirely sure what I want with regard to peaceful conversion.

Barbs: Raging can be fun at times, though I'm fine with saying no.
