    • My lord Mayta Capac has commanded me to speak upon his behalf on a matter of gravest concern. This horrible war which has broken out in the north causes Tawantin Suyu to think long and hard at her safety in these dangerous times for it appears that the honesty of other nations is open to question in matters of great importance.

Long have Quechua studied Russia and her customs and of one thing we can be sure is that, if the information given out by my friend Theodosius be true, more lies than truths have been spoken. There is no way on earth that a nation such as Russia could have mustered so mighty an army as assails Rhodes. The men with arrows and spears, perhaps, might call Moscow home but never the men with maces in their hands. If you eliminate the impossible then you can then think upon the possible. Not a single maceman has Russian as his native tongue so where did they come from? Tawantin Suyu has small doubt as to the progeny of these men. I doubt that anyone else, when they give the matter serious thought, will be fooled either.

      • King Sanjaya was troubled. He's just received reports of a revolt in Bombay and also about a barbarian raiding party near our northern shores.
"Those rebels... -Sanjaya thought -they protest about being 'slaves', but they just don't get it. We are all slaves of a greater power, everyone has its place in the world and that order is God's will, rebelling against it is absurd. Hopefully they come to their senses before..."-The king turned to his generals:
"Assemble the army, go and restore the order, execute all who resist"

"About those barbarian raiders: let our neighbour, the Mali know that we are highly dissapointed, these barbarians came from their territory. They supposed to be members of the so called anti-barbarian ice council yet they cannot take care of these scum. We of course dispatch our fleet, but at least we would had expected a warning."

The nation of Korea has accepted the truth of Taoism.

The Great Wang Ka has appointed a new spiritial leader to oversee this great momentus occasion in Korea.

Won Ful Yu was the new spiritial leader. He proclaimed Taoism the truth and begun a misison to build temples and schools to teach Taoism to all.

A letter was sent to India and to our brothers in Native America inviting them to the feast of Tao. The Korean celbration of this change.

          • The Great Wang Ka read the latest reports from the great continent to the north. The great warning s of th past had gone unheeded. Now war was upon us.

what he couldnt understnad was why so many armies were amassed on one island to fight over one city.

The korean military would never do that. They would have marched across the continent and invaded Byzantine central. Perhaps the russians were doing this too. Surely they were not going to war to gain one city . An attack on Byzantine central was the only tru glory in war. But forutnatly Korea was not at war. Wang Ka had led his people in new directions away from anger and pride.

Now he read the message from the Incans, large armies... too big for one nation... surely the incans were foolish here, the Byzantines had an army equally as large.

Were other nations helping the Russians? Probalby. As other nations were no doubt helping the Byzantines.

But Kas only question was , which side was India and England on. This was the great question.

            • The Seige of Rhodes

Bellisarius looked on. The massed lines of Russians and foreign fighters were camped to the west of the city, their catapults pounding the walls of Rhodes.

And now new had just reached him that Russian pirate ships had been sighted off the Greek coasts, hastening to Rhodes, cutting off the people's last hope of escape.

Within the city the farmers and fishermen, strengthed by a core of professional soliders from Antioch, were bearing up well. But as the walls gradually cracked, they knew the doom was approaching. The tundra would soon be washed with blood.

All that remained was to pray to the spirit of the Martyr of Antioch, Constantine.

              • Won Ful Yu travelled through al lthe Korean Provinces spreading the words of Tao.

Korean Taoism was all about emphasizing the Three Jewels of the Tao: compassion, moderation, and humility.

Koreans were encouraged to show compassion to all. As part of this the Wang Ka was to write to the leaders of Russia and Byzantine, asking them to also show compasion on each other.

Moderation was a big thing in Korea. Over excess was frowned upon.

The peaceful folk of Korea were world renowned for their humiltiy. Never would a Korean make boasts. It was all worthless words.

Won Ful Yu was active in visiting all the provinces to setup temples to pray to the ancient ancestors and the local Deity of the province. Animal sarcrifices were performed as part of this ritual.

                  "Who says so?" Ahm'Az returned
"Everybody! They say that the Russian army is full of Persian macemen and catapults"

"Buwhahaha" Ahm'Az laughed. "There's not a single Persian soldier in the Russian army"
"Shall I release some communications?" the servant asked.
"NO!" Ahm'Az insisted. "Leave it that way! Let them think that Persia is behind everything. It only serves our goals."
                  "Yes thy hairyness"

King Sanjaya, perhaps you missed our messages about pirates destroying our workboats and disturbing the crabs and fish. As you know we have no navy which is why we are spreading the word of Tao by sending our finest scholars to you to be taken across the great river to preach the word.

                    • Tao had become a major part of the culture in Mali. The priests of Tao pushed for control of the cities of Mali and were getting closer to making The lineage of the Great Korta obsolete. With all of the taxes collected, work began on a massive temple in Timbuktu, a temple to eclipse the Temple of Tao-temis. The new temple would have a massive dome complete with large spires and take up several city blocks. After many years of construction the temple was built and named the Hagia Sophia. This temple would help spread the word of Tao to all citizens of Mali and surrounding areas.

Hmm.. We thought the problem was dealt with so our fishing boats were caught by surprise. Fortunately to us the pirates turned back, so we had time to dispatch our fleet to defend them. Soon they will eliminate the pirates even if they have to chase them back to the north sea.

                          My Friend,

It came to our attention that a new religious cult is forming in one of your cities. The spreading of false beliefs on our continent are truly concerns us. I hope you will act quickly and stop this 'Hinduism' cult beofre it get out of hand. I can gladly offer our proffessional help if you need. The Indian inquisition can convert any heretics back to the true faith very effectively-one way or an other.

                          • The siege of Rhodes

The Russian catapults bombarded the walls of Rhodes for months. The walls had begun to crack and were about to tumble down completely. Yet Dominika held back her forces. Looking at the might of her catapults she was pleased that they were so effective, yet worried that the army she had brought may not be enough to decisively defeat the defenders. Somewhere, something had gone wrong. She looked at the new reports. Macemen. Crossbowmen, Longbowmen. She furiously gritted her teeth. This was not the work of Byzantium alone. Someone was aiding them.

When Dominika had moved her forces against Rhodes the first time, the Byzantines had no skills in Metal Casting, no knowledge of Machinery, no Longbows, and no Macemen. Now, within the span of 15 winters, they had all these. The Russian fleet would not reach Byzantine shores in time to utilize their advantage in shipbuilding. The Russian maces now met crossbows and enemy macemen. The Russian forces were now slightly outnumbered by the continually reinforced defenders. Though their quality surpassed that of the defenders, an easy conquest was now a long gone prospect. Yet Dominika would not be dissuaded. She had made up her mind and nothing could change her will. But she wondered. Who had supplied her enemies with weapons technology? Who had taken the side of the strong against the weak? She would find out. And she would take revenge upon those who aided her enemies.
