Well, with the war story I have now I think you'll know I was very lucky during this game.

After defeating Gengis Khan I went on to crush Saladin. My next plan was to attack Mansa Musa once I had cannons. Beore I had cannons I noticed Alexander sending swarms of troops through my territory. Before I go on I think I will need to describe the continent I am on. Picture it as a solid rectangle except with a body water going halfway into the continent at the center of the east side continent. Then the body of water starts going south until it is 3/4 of the way down the continent. I was on the area conecting the northern and southern parts of the continent. Saladin was south of the body of water. Mansa Musa was in the southeastern cornor of the continent. Churchill was on the southern side of the enterance to the body of water. Ramesses and Alexander (who had conquered half of Egypt earlier in the game) were on the northern end of the continent. Back to Alexander sending troops through my land. I knew they were going to Attack Mansa Musa since Churchill was Alex's vassal. I then went into a frenzy to take as many of Mansa Musa's cities before Alex could. I had to go on suicide charges since I didn't have nearly enough artillary when Mansa Musa had Chichen Itza. I did manage to get 4 of Mansa Musa's 5 cities. Alex then left about thirty unit in the city he captured.

      Alexander:
1,200,000 troops (total troop number in the Demographics)
mostly made up of Cavalry and Riflemen with some Grenadiers and Trebuchets

      Me:
      900,000 troops
mostly Infantry with some Cavalry and Cannons

      Churchill:
      vassal of Alex
      200,000 troops
      mostly Redcoats

You can probably tell that the stage is set for a huge showdown. When Alex did attack, his main attack came from his 30+ units in the city he captured from the Mali. To prevent from going out and pillaging the Cottages (almost all towns by now)of Timbuctu, I sent 7 Infantry to a forested ridge between Alex's army and Timbuctu. I sent 7 more Infantry to defend against Churchill who's army wasn't very far away. I also sent 2 cavalry to each spot (the best to face Alex) and my 2 cannons to face Alex. I quicly stoped Chuchill's advance and took a defensive spot on his border until I could get more troops to attack. Withen a few turns my 7 Infantry facing Alex were dead. I had used my cannons to attack Alexes stackes so Alex had lost about 20 troops. By this time I was starting to get more troops. Carthage (which had Heoric Epic, West Point, a Millitary Acadamy, and a Millitary Instructer) could make a combat 3 Infantry every turn. I then took the former Mali city of Alex's. Then I took one Churchill's two cities.
I then started focusing on the north where Alex had taken two cities. I took one. I was then went to Alex to request peace. I managed to regain the other city I had lost.

      Halfway through the war:

      Alex:
      +4 cities
      700,000 troops

      Me:
      -2 cities
      -1 vassal
      600,000 troops

      Churchill:
      150,000

      End result:

      Alex:
      +1 cities
      700,000 troops

      Me:
      +2 cities
      -1 vassal
      800,000 troops

      Churchill:
      -1 city
      150,000

I had two vassals up on the side Alex. Asoka lost 1 city, but had another and Gengis Khan lost his only city.

I am have rebuilt my army and am about to attack, although this time with tanks.
