WINXP PATCH INSTRUCTIONS

To be able to run the DOS version of MOO II online from any WinXP or other NT-based machine, simple download the Moo2XP.exe file to your hard drive's Orion2 folder and the double click on it to run. The patch adds just 3 bytes to your rkernel.com file.

The patch fixes online play for the DOS versions of orion2 v1.2, 1.31, 1.32, 1.40.

If you run a game from a Kali launch icon, no further work is need.

If you launch a game from a desktop shortcut, then you also need to download the autoexec2.nt file, which MUST be placed in your windows\system32 folder to work. You then need to modify the desktop shortcut to run the autoexec2.nt file. Right click on the shortcut, select Properties, select the Program Tab, and then type the path to the autoexec2.nt file into the Batch File line. The autoexec2.nt file just loads KaliNT, which is part of Kali.

If you get COMM error it means KaliNT has not been loaded, which means the autoexec file did not actually run.
