*** Is it four, five years since the Second War of Orcs & Humans, when the Tides of Darkness swept over the lands?
No one knows for sure, or what really happened in that war, save that the Great Portal was opened and the Rift awakened.
Draenor was destroyed, it is said, and the Kingdoms of Azeroth and Lordaeron left battered and broken, barely on the brink of survial. But the war is over, and the time to rebuild has come.
 But even in the destruction the Orcs were not destroyed, and though they have scaterred they remain. And what if the tribes and the broken clans arose again? And some say the WarCheif will one day come back to his own.
What then will reign?
 What now will reign, with both the Humans and Orcs lining up for but another struggle?
                 Will it ever end?
Or must fire first fall from the sky? -thus wrote Minan, son of Millan of the House of Scribes, in the first year of the Aftermath ***

Azeroth is a CivII Scenario, set in the World of Warcraft where humans and orcs are once again set against eachother, as the races struggle to rebuild their kingdoms. It is set in the time after the Tides of Darkness, a generation before Warcraft III.
The Object of the game is to simply rebuild your nation, and defend it through the course of time until the last turn, conquering who you can in the meantime. There is no other road to victory and conquering the world is not a must. You are only meant to rebuild your kingdom and keep it strong that it may pass into a new generation, (or into Reign of Chaos) where your descendants will fight another Great War. Your mission is to protect your people and carry them into this new age.
Azeroth is sort od meant and best for Multiplayer, though it should make a half-decent singleplayer battle. There is a small Tech-tree, though units do not obsolete, though better ones come.
Most of the "look" and feel of the game has been Overhauled and changed to fit more with the Warcraft setting.
Any race or nation can be chosen, differances are mainly in location only, though each race has their own unique units. (attributes are the same) If you are familair with Warcraft II, from which this is derived, some things here should be familiar. And, sadly, no, fire doesn't get to fall from the sky in this little interval in history.
This is my first Civ Scenario (wow, it's 2k3 and like, civ2?) and my first Readme written.
Hope you enjoy!!!!!!!                                                                         -altF18

=[======- Gameplay Hints  -=======]=
-Both Orc tribes begin on islands
-Multiple Towers should be built to defend a city
-Its wise to explore for goody huts (you can have Mages by turn 15)
-No alliances or negotiations can be made at this bloody time

=[======-  Notes  -=======]=
-There are NO sound files, so turn your speakers off
-You will only find this fun if you find Civ2 fun, reading along the intergrated "story" fun, and a Warcraft look fun.
Not to mention the bloodly battles you should fight with all the old war craft you remember... from the second game.
-The object of the game is to survive to the last turn, allowing a new generation to come - There are only 320 Turns of Warcraft... i know, they could be either boring or, brutal...
-That's all i believe, can't figure what to fill a Reame with... except for....

={=====-  Credits  -=====}=
-Sid Meier and Brian Reynolds, i guess, and everyone else who made Civ2...
-Blizzard Entertainment for Warcraft from which this scenario is derived...
-MaTT_SMiT, who made the original warcraft scenario, from which i got a fair deal of my stuff from, though he copywr...
(worry not MaTT, i didn't even tough your files, messed or altered them, just took the units, Thanks ; )
-Favoured Flight, another scenario designer you should know, who made the LOTR scenarios, for, well, ideas, i guess?
(yes, ideas. his scenarios inspired my "look"change for Azeroth)
-altF18, (hey, that's me!) for making this scenario, i guess, i deserve a credit don't I... (ok, a sibling helped, sort of..)
-and last, but surely not least, You, for actually still playing Civ2, downloading this scenario of mine (good to know i didn't make it for nothing...) playing it, and for actually reading this Readme... a rare thing i'd think.
-and let's forget the site you just downloaded it from, big credit to them for distributing it....

That's all i could think of. Now go prove yourself more worthy than a peon or a peasant and go kick some, orc or human hide!
I think i'll not make another scenario again.....
