^Supersonic Bombers are the most powerful 'conventional' bombers. They have a large operational range and great bombardment power.
They may be based in any city on the map. They can deal devastating damage but are vulnerable to SAM batteries and intercepting jet fighters.
^
^A city needs $LINK<oil=GOOD_Oil> in its $LINK<Strategic Resource=GCON_ResourcesS> box to build a Supersonic bomber.

^During the Cold War, heavy bombers were used primarily for nuclear deterrence and were operated solely by the active duty Air Force. With the end of the Cold War and increased emphasis on bombers conventional missions, the Air Force initiated efforts to manufacture a high payload conventional bomber. The B-1A project was rewoken. The B-1A was a strategic bomber designed for high speed penetration to enemy territory anywhere on the globe. The new bomber would be the improved variant of the B-1A, initiated by the Reagan administration in 1981. The new bomber was named B-1B, "Lancer".
The B-1B bomber, which went into service in 1986 as a replacement for the B-52,
incorporated some of the stealth technology innovations. The radar signature of the B-1B was reduced to a mere one percent that of the B-52 due to its low cross-section and its minimal use of radar-reflective, hard-edged surfaces.
The B-1B's electronic jamming equipment, infrared countermeasures, radar location and warning systems complement its low-radar cross-section and form an integrated defense system for the aircraft.
