^^ALL UNDER HEAVEN: The Rise of the Chinese Empire
^^A Scenario by Winterfritz
^^Length: %STRING1 to %STRING2
^
In 770 B.C. the seat of the enfeebled Chou dynasty was captured and
sacked by the northern barbarians. As the royal house fled to the
new capital of Loyang, all central authority collapsed. Power devolved
onto the regional barons and princes of China, who subsequently began
to vie with each other for hegemony. In this competetive atmosphere,
the fields of commerce, technology and philosophy all saw incredible
advances that would make this the great classical age of Chinese
civilization. The ultimate goal was the unification of China into
a strong empire which could resist the increasingly dangerous inroads
of the steppe nomads from the north. Would one principality triumph
over its neighbours and crown the first emperor? Or would the Hsuing-Nu
conquer the pastoralists and make China their own? The fate of all under
heaven - traditional domain of the Chinese emperors - lay in the balance...

^All seven civs are playable, though the six Chinese civs are much more fun
than the Hsiung-Nu. See the Readme.txt for objectives and any additional
information.
