DISCRIPTION

This small graphics bundle contains 53 new message icons for CTP2. The message icons of the default game are very small, so that it was hard to see the actual symbol on them. The message icons of this downloads are larger. They use all the available space in the message box, so that their symbol can be better seen.

Also the number of the message icons is increased now, for instance there is now one for wasted work, one that was missing in CTP2 definately. Check out the image file to see more.

This graphics bundle is mainly intended for modmakers, but it can also be used as a stand alone mod. All you have to do if you want to use it with the standart game is just put all the *.tga files into your ..\ctp2_data\default\graphics\pictures\ folder. Put the GM1_messageicon.txt into your ..\ctp2_data\default\gamedata\ folder. Then find in this folder a file called gamefile.txt, that file contains a list of files that are loaded by the game. Open it with any editor of your choice. Find there the line which contains the entry:

messageicon.txt

and replace it with

GM1_messageicon.txt

If you want to install it on a mod like ApolytonPack then your file is called APOL_gamefile.txt after the installation you have to load the mod with ModSwappper.

Actual this is already everything just some message icons wouldn't be the best choice. Therefore this *.zip file contains also a modified GM1_script.slc and a modified GM1_APOL_script.slc, they are only different in the last part you see the section with all these included slic files. Depending on the mod you should rename this file to the one that is used in your mod and replace all the slic files with the ones you find in the version of the script.slc of your mod. For instance you want to use this with ApolytonPack then your file is called APOL_script.slc. So rename one of the scrip.slc's found in this *.zip file and replace all the included slic files by ones you find in the original APOL_script.slc.

Finally a modified version of DiploMod is included. The GM1_diplomod.slc it contains three message boxes that were without a specific message icon. This is fixed in this file if you like to use another version of Diplomod please just compare the files and add the MessageIcon if needed.

This should be all.
