Also, Madrid is a big factor in the Republicans' morale. Without this three strongholds, the Republican player is bound to lose. Keeping Cartagena is extremely important, as it supports almost all the naval power of the Republic. Reinforcements adviced are Tank Reinforcements, Bomber Reinforcements and International Brigades. IMPORTANT NOTE: Republican units are NOT veterans. Use them wisely. Key Objectives: Zaragoza: An attack from East is adviced. Pamplona: An attack from the North is adviced. Burgos: Key city for Nationalists' morale, capturing this city is also a Republican morale boost. Secondary Objectives Malaga: You must prevent this city of falling to the Nationalists. Guadalajara: Guadalajara is the last communication way remaining to Madrid. Alcázar de Toledo: Capturing this building is a big morale victory. Toledo: Opens a way to Madrid from the South. Cádiz: It's the main foreing reinforcement port for the Nationalists. Mallorca: Taking the Mallorca island gives the Republica total control of the Mediterranean. |

If Madrid falls, the Insurrection will be successful! The Pamplona troops must isolate the French border in Irún, and push West to Bilbao. The troops must capture Toledo and free the besieged troops at the Alcázar. If these objectives have been accomplished, the main objective is the East of the peninsula, to cut the Republican zone in two isolated zones. Key Objectives: Madrid: An attack from all directions is recommended. Bilbao: Once Irun and San Sebastián are under your control, go through the Iron Belt and capture the city. Barcelona: The city will be attacked from the west. Secondary Objectives Malaga: Capturing this city will shorten communication between Africa and the peninsula. Guadalajara: Guadalajara is the last communication way remaining to Madrid. Toledo: Opens a way to Madrid from the South, you also will free the besieged troops at the Alcázar. Cartagena: The conquest of Cartagena will disrupt the Republic's naval power. Valencia: Valencia is the second city where the Republican government flees. |
