It is the year 1937. Having establish a foothold on the continent of Asia in
the Manchuria offensive in 1931/32, the Japanese army is now ready to strike south
into China. Could the Japanese succumb the masses of the Chinese army? To the north,
at the borders of Soviet, tension is brewing as always since the Japanese-Soviet war
30 years ago. Would the Soviet take advantage by assaulting the Kwantung army
defences during the Japanses offensive in China? The Western is looking on the
situation with unrest and weariness. Would they get involve to stop the Japanese
aggression? It is you as Emperor Hirohito to decide on the course of action.
How is Japan going to face the looming Soviet threat during the southern offensive.
Could Japan handle two fronts? Should Japan strike the Pacific early before the
Westerns turn their Pacific islands into invincible fortresses.... and face three
fronts? As the 3rd most powerful navy after US and British, how long can Japan
match the combined material resources of her foes in the control the ocean?
Is it possible to keep out the Westerns till the China offensive is over?
The decisions and answers are all up to you! ------RKS Lee
