Extract the files into your /art/terrain/ directory and overwrite the files.
Backup: If you are unsure if you will like the grapical mod, please backup the files before you overwrite them. Otherwise you will have to reinstall Civ3 to get your original graphic files back.
A few notes from the artist:
The mountains are now grey instead of the original brown/red colour.
The only mountain that has not changed is the mountain that has jungle plant life on it.
I have played the game like this at first, then I changed the jungle one to grey aswell and I realised that the terrain is now suddenly very dull looking without that red mixture inside of it. So I have left the jungle mountains alone.
