I have aother dum question now anyway:
What the hell does double spacing mean?
And also, how do i add page numbers, or is this also incredible obvious?

You're kidding, right?
When you were in the Insert menu getting those Footnotes didn't you see the "Page Numbers" written in there?
Insert > Page Numbers is what you want.
Also, the function of Double Spacing should be very obvious once you switch it on. Basically it widens (doubles, in fact) the gap between each line of text. My University tutors always wanted it turned on because it made it easier to write in comments.

For footnotes, go to "Tools" and select "Customize". Then click the tab that gives you the list of commands, select "insert" and scroll down to "footnote".
Drag that button to the toolbar. You should now have a footnote button.
I assume its the same in Windows.

Yes, it's the same in Windows:

Asher, don't take this the wrong way, but you really aren't using that theme are you?
I mean I thought "Hotdog Stand" in Win 3.11 was bad.

I refuse to go there, especially coming from someone with that atrocious layout and theme on OS X.
For the record I rotate themes weekly or so.
