I get "you can only post a message 30 seconds apart" message all the time

Furthermore, the funny thing is, even though I get to the spam page, my post actually registers and appears in the thread.

I remember that sush things could happen with the time wraps if you did a post right before the time wrap, got initiated you couldn't post until the time had passed 30 seconds after that time. But I've not heard of any timewraps since Settler I got born... So this must be sometinh else...

Oh, wat I see. your posts gets into the thread... Then it might be a problem with your browser double posting.. And you should get that error...

A new one on me. The only time I've seen that message is when I edit a post and post another too quickly afterwards.

I would bet on the double posting.
One other possiblity would be that it's checking the time on the cache when it's gets busy and it's not updating as quickly. But if it was that, I'd think many others would have reported similar instances. So I'm betting on some type of double post. (which would also explain why the initial post is going through)

For the record, Rah's explanation sounds right. I have had that happen to me before when Poly was in a heavy-traffic phase. At least I didn't end up with a double-post.

to stay on topic no this hasnt happened to me. Also it seems edit doesnt matter, because I could post and edit right away.
Or is the 30sec in between hit "submit reply" and "save changes" and not between submit reply and edit ?

edit: hmm no seems I can edit as much as I want w/o 30sec penalty.
