London Meeting, 8th August, Evening (but starting in the afternoon..)

OK, the previous thread reached 500 posts.

The plan is to all meet at the Moon Under the Water, a Wetherspoon's on Charing Cross Lane near Leicester Square for an afternoon and (mainly) evening of drinking and revelry. Between 10 and 20 Apolytoners will be in attendance.

    Discuss.

Might be pricier in the shithole that is London.

You southerners still haven't made the trip to the beautiful north yet.

Wales seems to have decent prices. Because everyone is poor.

Oh Bods is going to the meeting now? Then I'll definately try to avoid it.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

I've done Leeds, and Woodall SS. I've even done Aberystwyth.

Yeah, people, bring a camera, esp. if you got a digital one. I have an old-fashioned one, and no scanner.

I recently ordered a digital camera but haven't received it yet. If I get it in time, I'll take it with me.

Bastard! You have a decent location. I'm at Glenmore road, Uplands. 25 min walk from the uni with massive hills, but we have spotlighting and hardwood floors

My results were ok, didn't get anything below a 2:1 for this semester and got a coupla 1sts

    well done

you'll love how we got the house btw, no one could be arsed to put their name down for the housing list, which the uni was giving out, so we just thought we'd see what we could find when we could all be bothered to look. well the girls (who i would describe as out sister flat) above us, said they'd found a place on bryn road that was a bit of a dive, but just perfect for us, a real lads flat . and best of all, it just so happend that i knew the cousin of one of the people living there. so we sorted out a viewing, went to see it, it was ok. some people had minor coimplaints, but the bottom line was that no one could be bothered to look anywhere else so we took it.

so **** all effort and we get a great house, life is good.

how many are living with you next year?

Bods - they told us they dont' like giving out 1sts in the first year, in fear of students getting complacent.

Cockney - there are 6 of us in the house nex year, don't like some of the people I'm living with next year (they made us decide too early I reckon )

We went through an agency. Naughty us

hehe, i love the way they advertise places in uplands as 'in a central location'. translation: miles from ****ing anywhere

too bad about not liking some people, that really sucks. it's the main reason i'm not moving with my current flatmates and 'friends' next year, there's going to be a massive falling out there, nothing to do with me, but i just don't need that kind of bullshit.

7 of us next year btw. have you got bored of the holidays yet?
