  • Can't host a Gamespy game

I'm behind a router and have my system set up as the DMZ, using Zone Alarm as the firewall. I've configured Zone Alarm to allow RoN to access the internet and act as a server, but I am still unable to host a game via Gamespy.

I can set up a lobby, but then when I hit the "Launch" button, nobody shows up in my game.

The IP shown in the game is my LAN IP (192.168.1.202), not my actual IP.

Any clue what's going on here?

Don't know, but I have the identical problem. I hit Launch, and no one comes with me! It's bad for me since I want to play slow games and hardly anyone creates them. Hopefully this will be fixed with patch 2, but if anyone knows how to fix this before then, I would appreciate it.

By the way, I don't use ZoneAlarm, but I have the Linksys 4 port Router/Switch that uses NAT so my local IP address is also a 192.168.1.x value. I enabled the DMZ thing on my router, but it didn't help.
Firaxis - please make an updated version of Colonization! That game was the best, even if it was a little un-PC.
