        Yes, about twice what I'd expected to bribe a Settler for. The was my feelings of being forced to do it to minimize Greek presence. The irrigated tile NE of Delendopolis is a Greek city. Halicarnassus or Pergamon is my guess (couldn't get a unit close enough to get a "near city" reading).

        The Set was scouting a city location (heading for 45,57?) and stepped away from its Cat escort, so I took advantage of the opening. Bribing the new city would have been cheaper, but would probably have triggered war. Besides, we don't want another city.

        We actually had a Settler produced from Delendopolis some time back. I guess the Greek invaders killed it?

        • Dunno. I do remember that Sett -- had it making improvements up there IIRC, building roads and such. I also remember Barbs in the area...
