PTWDGII: Team Admission Rule

We now have enough teams to start this game and seem to have enough interest to get this second PTWDG off the ground.

However, as more people become interested or more ideas spring up, we could have well more than the 8 team maximum. I propose the following rule to help us determine which teams are "in" and which teams are "out." If you agree with this rule, please vote for it. If not, please vote against and propose a better version of this rule.

Team Admission Rule:

Any team that has 10 or more declared members is automatically in. If 8 teams aquire 10 or more members then no new teams will be admitted.

Any team that has 5 or more declared members is ELIGIBLE for inclusion in the game.

May 16th will be the cut-off date. On that date no new teams can be added and we will count all of the elgible teams and how many spaces are available. If there are enough spaces for them all (after the automatic teams are in) then all of the eligible teams are in.

If there are not enough spaces, we will hold a poll for ALL eligible teams, and the most popular team concepts will be admitted into the game.

I was wondering because it seemed weird to see you posting in here since you have absolutely nothing to do with the PTWDG nor the PTWDG II.

I thought panag posted everywhere, and was not aware he was restricted to specific forums.

That rule seems reasonable... but perhaps May 16th is not enough time to grab new members, and even considering that when people see our Mohammed Al-Sahaf team they will be begging to join us as soon as possible

, maybe a little more time to form the teams would be advisable...

Before the current DG started, I remember having asked you a similar question in a slightly different context and you gave me the same reply... yet you are not a listed member of any of the teams, nor are you a member of any forming body. So how could you be involved? (other than posting in threads that have to do with the game)
I remind you that being an unlisted member of either teams is a violation of the rules. And so is having a d/l, btw.

We've past May 16th. These are the results as I see them (PLEASE post to correct me if I'm wrong about any of the membership #s)

Team Cake or Death: 9 members. Eligible
Team Sunshine: 9 members. Eligible
Team Tabemono: 8 members. Eligible
Team Monkey: 8 members. Eligible
Team Mohammed al-Sahaf: 5 members. Eligible
Team Monty Python: 5 members. Eligible

Team Puritan: 1 member?
Team l337: 1 member?
Team Blazing Saddles: 1 member?

Therefore, we have SIX teams. I don't imagine any new teams will show up and gain at least 5 members before we start, but we can leave it open if we'd like ... allow at least 2 more teams to form and join before we actually start the game.

Officially the 6 teams above are in. We should begin by picking our civs, colors, etc and setting up a proposed start date ... sometime in June, perhaps. Maybe after High School ends for many of our younger members.

I have constantly offered MZO to have private forums or heck, even host the game if necessary.

Should the game be hosted over there, if anyone has gripes with the admin being a team member (which implies I can theoretically access the private fora) I would gladly resign to my team and aid Panzer with the historian job.

(but I would still like to spread the sunshine

)

MZ, can you set up forums over at MZO?

If we get forums here, that'd be great. But if the forums never materialize here, we can do the game at MZO. It's status as the Poly "backup" remains.
