    Recommend me some GOOD movies

    Hi,

can you please recommed me some good movies I can buy... Not gonna mention Kazaa because Ming won't like it, but...

I dont like Goldmember or Wayne's World I and II. The show "Everybody loves Raymond" I don't like either. Who can like the main character Raymond?? Long, broad, sad face. Slow voice. Ack!

Sopranos any good? Have seen several episodes on Scandinavian tv. Don't wanna get those I have. Other series/shows/movies?

Casablanca is an all time classic same with Gone with the Wind. For more modern movies Seven is a thriller with a twist ending. Run Lola Run is a totally off beat German film worth checking out and Not Another Horror movie is worth a watch if you like purient humor.

    Kentucky Fried Movie!

Don't know where you would find it though, but it's one of the funniest movies ever.

Long Kiss Goodnight is another good movie. (Geena Davis is my kinda girl)

Braveheart of course is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Kelly's Heroes is one of my favorite war movies. Donny Sutherland as a WWII hippy type in a Sherman Tank!

If you like comedy, Airplane can't be beat

For an interesting "Americana" look at the 1980s, checkout "The Breakfast Club" - funny, lighthearted, but true to the times.

How could I forget "blues brothers" Doh.

For a great movie that women love, but is still entertaining for men. "sixteen candles"

And just for grins, "fast times at Ridgemont High"

Lola runs is a great movie! And I thought all a german could make were krautz und frankfurters!

I'd suggest American Beauty, some 50's italian movies (those ones with undressed roman women ) and the old classics of Marlene... aaah
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

If you want comedy, then Monty Python is a good choice.
For generally good movies, The Godfather Trilogy, Metropolis (The Anime version....haven't seen the original), A Beautiful Mind.....that's it off the top of my head that hasn't already been said.

And I would also like to second LotR Extended edition.....though there I would actually suggest buying it......although you would've anyway.....

Hmm... my fav movies to watch and enjoy (rather than to watch and get your head f*cked.)

    Comedy:
    The Big Lebowski
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
    Monty Python's Life of Brian
    Back to the Future
    Ghostbusters

    Epic:
    Lawrence of Arabia
    The Great Escape

    Action:
    Apocalypse Now
    The Warriors
    Goodfellas
    Casino
    Dusk Till Dawn
    Pulp Fiction

Just off the top of my head... you need to be a bit more specific about the type of films you like/want to see... there's a lot of films out there!

I'll give a big to The Boondock Saints. A lot of coolness there, especially if you haven't seen a million films about vigilante justice already (I hadn't when I watched it first time... and still haven't). Fight Club is nice, too. Stay away from the Indiana Jones crap - I can't understand how those films are classics. If you're going to watch Ghost in the Shell, do not get the dubbed version. Especially the ending of the film is so brutally flattened by the voice acting that it's almost funny.
