here are my early 20th century cities, to be used in an in-progress scenario...
LOL...this isn't old...
It's from that old "how to draw cities like Nemo" thread...first is the Brandenburg Gate (Notice the lack of the statue on top, whatever it's called, I've long since forgotten), and the rest is a blueprint for the Trans-America Pyramid in San Francisco. It's as good as it'll get with these small city boxes...

here are my early 20th century cities, to be used in an in-progress scenario...

"...gays who, because they just NEEDED their orgies..." -Mr. A. Speer

Case, you're too kind!
MOH, that is a huge factory!!
anyway, I made the cities to match my "railroad/villages", which are coloured, unlike the Nemo ones. They match my cities. I am well into creating my next scenario which uses them..... preview soon.

MoH, looking mighty good!
here is my mine/factory icon...

Here are some WWI units by Alex:
and as far as No Man's Land goes... you could do some modifying of this here minefield terrain by Nemo... a classic, but still great to use!

Here's a small city collection of mine... it excludes the latest one I made for 'Fire of Roses'. Unless it is obvious (Yamato, 'Persian' at the bottom) all have been made from the scratch.

Had to slice it in two...

yeah, winegums!!
anyway, here are some trenches for the fella that wanted them:

I think saving as bitmaps is an IE(6) specific issue, I have this problem at other sites too and not with other browsers... It annoys the hell out of me too.
To add something somewhat more interesting to this thread, here's the more memorable graphics I made for Civ2. All of the graphics were designed for the Hobbit and Genghis Khan scenarios I never finished.
I'm most pleased with the technology icons, the rest is rather mediocre, IMHO.

Can someone help me out here? JMarks did a superb Mamyev Kurgan graphic for Stalingrad, and now it needs to be winterized. Simply adding some snowwy ground beneath the bunker and barbed wire etc. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks.

Dockyard
Here is an Alex dockyard edited by yours truly. This is a 'city' graphic, though it is a dockyard...
![]()
You might need to build a dock if you wer loading ships with things... like troops!![]()
Then, you would want to cross water in your ships... water, like a river!
A river who's name begins with a V!!!

A quick bump for my Mamayev Kurgan winterization request from the previous page, and another one too.
Here is a factory graphic that used to be a unit in Ansteig. I have reduced it to fit in as a terrain square, but some of it seems to have gotten a bit sloppy in the process. Can someone straighten it out to have the walls and windows and such look a little more proper? It just looks a little jumbled as it is now. Thanks.
-FMK.
I thought it looked pretty much like I imagined an old soviet factory should look like. Rough and dirty with broken windows and worn bricks. Anyway, here's a quick reromp.![]()

The Slim End Of The Long Tail -
Kaplak Stream

The nationalists used what's now the Taiwanese flag, didn't they?
Here's chinese shields made by Grothgar:

FMK: I didn't recieve those files.
If they're over 1 Mb, then send it to: canberra_dowlings@bigpond.com.au
Grothgar: I can't remember your email, so here's the file:

Here is a version of some Nemo cities I am using in my remake of 2194. They are free for use, just give credit to me and Captain Nemo.
Pap
Exile, will these do?
Thanks for the compliment Anzac!
Soundwave, your units sure look good![]()
And I can't wait for your scenario Jacobite.
Exile, second attempt:
Here are some updated versions of a few cities:
Thank you *bows*, but I shouldn't get too much credit...the changes I made to the cities aren't that big. Winterfritz, here are some more Roman cities:
Here are the roman people I have, I hope you'll find what you want.
Exile, I think I can pull of the generic ones, but the others are rather specific, so if you have a few pictures of uniforms or anything like that I would appreciate it.
You're welcome
Exile, here are the generic latin american and european infantry units as well as another edited city style.

I compiled a bunch of the common shields that are used in the WWII Scenarios. I don't mean to copy others work, and I will give credit if you tell me who made the shields.

Here is a new collection of shields with a more "3D"-look.
Also a little thing explaining how to use two different nation colour in the shield; the dark and the light, which most people do not seem to know.
The pixel in cities.gif determining the colour of the shields is known to most, but it is not yet known that three more pixels to the right is another one, determining the secondary nation's colour. It isn't used in regular civ2 flags, but you still can use it as in my example of the shield.

Here is a small collection of icons that I have made for a project I havent mentioned yet. It's nearing completion and should be ready for playtest pretty soon. No, its not Stalingrad.![]()
Anyway, I kind of ripped off the buildings icon concept here from Curt Sibling. He posted a bunch of this type of thingat CFC, and inspired me to go about making a few of my own. Its quite easy to do and is kind of a revolutionary idea... screenshots for icons. Good thinkin' Curt!I also think the costal fortress (Shore battery) icon and the Red Oktober icon came out well.

Ahhh, and we shall have a 'coffeehouse' for the Nederlander here.
-FMK

A couple more of those 'coffeehouses'
Man, I love you Dutch folks.
-FMK.

Here's a walled and unwalled version of Stefan Haertel's MiddEastern city style. Previously, Stefan only did the unwalled version. But I added some walls for my own scenarios. They actually came out pretty decent.![]()

This thread has been inactive, so here's a graphic to keep things interesting. It's a river. It's black and green. It has spots in it. Enjoy.

Here's a house. I don't know what it can be used for (as a city graphic in a city-level scenario?), but I made it in a hour and I like it. One has smoke coming from the chimney, and one lacks it.
