  • Rest In Peace (the thread for dead characters)

This thread is designed to be a place where we can celebrate the lives of those characters who are no longer with us. If characters die of natural causes, are killed in war, murdered by other characters, or executed by the government, it is here that they can be remembered into the future (along with in the annals and the chronicles).

Below will be listed a simple list of all characters which are now deceased and what roles they performed in life.

The rest of the thread can be used by the religious leader of the tribe to perform any burrial rights that he wishes for our dead (for, as seems unique to our tribe, we have a profound respect for the dead).

    To souls departed,

    rest in peace

Senor Arnelos, here are some names...

Gastronome Neecap I, 4000BC, a faithful servant of Senor Hernan de History Guy Calamari. Died of cacti poisoning.

Buffalo Chip, 4000BC, cattle baron. Died of falling into cacti.

Sir, it appears as if Thug is alive, but was in hiding. Thus, he, as alive, no longer qualifies for the list, unless the government would prefer he remains dead so as not to go around messing things up like this, in which case they should either continue assuming his death, or...

Señor Ronní Pikesfan, (Pikesfan), began the Annals of Spain, died 3999 BC in the sensational Trial of the Complaint Against Señor Calamari.

[OOC There, that way the number remains the same and the slaves at the Bureau of Numbers won’t have to use the horrendously difficult art of Subtraction. ]

          REST IN PEACE

The Slave Master's assistant was found dead this morning at the public works office. The slave woman who does the cleaning found him in the same table he used to work every day. He lefts three wives and several dozens of children.

The Slave Master feels really sad about his death, specially because he was working in the concepts of a project to do the first irrigation. From this place he wants to state that the acusations against his assistant about being an spy are all false, wathever the word "spy" means. He was a good man, and in his memory the family Fernandez will take his daughters under its protection and grant his sons a position among the free workers so they can maintain themselves by having an honorable job working side-by-side with the slaves.

Guys... to prevent this thread from eventually growing to simply OBSCENE lengths, I would request that we not simply create characters for the mere purpose of killing them off.... Thug made it on the list (assuming he's dead...) because his supposed death spurred a court case. Unless a non-player-character has done something genuinely important or would be remembered because he played some important role, we should keep the RIP to dead PLAYER-characters (so it doesn't get obscenely long...).

            Just my thoughts on that...

Righty-O. But, Thug is alive!! He is currently at the Old Bailey at this minute at the trial! If this is ignored, valuable evidence is also ignored, and a serious miscarriage of justice may be commited due to neglect of the evidence, and this would be a truly terrible thing for civilization, for it would mean that the world's first trial was a white-wash!

Henrique Winterius was found dead nearby thespirits hill, with a large boulder on his back, his family suspects intentional murder. He was 19 years old and was the middle son of Nuclearis Winterius the first. He was a kind soul, and he was interested in finding the other nations everybody talks about to study their barbarian like manners...

My father, Hernan de History Guy Calamari the Elder, a hero of Spanish loyalty, died this day most needlessly and tragically of a broken heart. He will be buried with the full honors of a politician and powerful leader in accordance with Spanish tradition. The High Priest will preside at the funeral, and there will be a long funeral march to his tomb on the Hill of Peace. There is expected to be a large crowd. All heads of state will be present, as well as all tribal leaders.

                            Togas the First

Senor Togas the First, our first Great Despot, died of old age after a long and fruitful life in the service of Spain. He was responsible for creating the first government and true order in the tribe, establishing Madrid, furthering Spanish custom and tradition, as well as creating new Traditions for the people of Spain. He sent forth two expeditions to discover the lands around Spain and oversaw the first roads and permanent farmlands in our history.

A wise and benevolent leader, he is remembered by his large family with many sons. The oldest of his sons, Enero Togas, ruled for a time in his old age, and then for a short time after his death. Enero gave the seat of power to his oldest and greatest son, Decedro Togas.

This is sad news indeed. I cannot bare to comment further on this tragic matter. It was expected, yes, but not hoped for by anyone.
