This line in alphax.txt
1, 1 ; Numerator/Denominator for frequency of global warming (1,2 would be "half" normal warming).
I currently run this at 1, 10 (I've had enough of being washed away because Yang, Santiago and Domai want to be planet rapers).
What is the limit on what the denominator can be changed to? Like, could this be changed to 1, 100 or even 1, 1000?

Anyway, if you set the denominator low enough, your number would be close enough to zero that you wouldn't have global warming any more.

If you set the values like this:
0,1
You will not have any global warming. I played a game with this edit, had nearly 300+ minerals at every base (50+ bases) and the sea level never changed.
Although without the global warming some of the fun is taken away in trying to prevent it.

If you manage to read through all of the pages of that thread you'll find that my test of playing a Trans SP game without making any roads except on mines indicated that playing without making roads was painful.
I managed to win the game, but it would have been a lot easier (and faster) if I made roads.

I reasoned that the denominator defined by a forumla something like this -> 1/2^x where x was betwee 0 - 15 inclusive (0 - F). This would give a possible range of 1 to 32768 for the denominator.
Of course, it could be as simple as 1/x where x is a range of 1 - 16.

yeah think of all the lurkers who were dying to know the answer, but spent the past 4 years not knowing.
