  • CyberShy's suggestions for new features

Yeah, implement those cool features I have on my forum!

    1. no page reload needed to make a poll (use
and hide / show them on click)

    2. put all smileys in such a div as well

    3. WYSIWYG editor (see my cool forum)

    4. MC choise polls with option to limit the number of choises

    5. Multiple Single Choise polls (ie. have multiple one-option polls in one post)

    6. who read this post -
containing all members who read a particular post (visible on click)

    7. give different background-color to unread posts (see my never enough praised forum)

    8. THIS-IS-SPAM option, so every user can click on a link to declare a post to be spam. If over, say, 15 people vote something to be spam, it'll be removed from the thread, and only be visible on a certain click.

    9. -SPLIT a topic- option. (thread starter can select the posts he wants to remove from that topic but wants to put in another - new to be made or already existing- topic)

    10. cool turn-based-games, like the X|0|X game (don't know what it's named in english) and keep a ladder with the winner-scores.....

that's it from now. If you give me the "Apolyton creative thinking" title I'll come up with new ones soon

BONUS IDEA: MINGAPULCO link, which gives a list of banned users, the period they'll stayed banned, and the mod who banned them. And of course some cool bounty island pictures with their avators all over it

you can decide to save it only for the time a thread is active.

          meaning?

          there's a div:

          there's a link:
          SHOW SMILEYS

          and same with HIDE SMILEYS

the code is not completely correct (out the top of my head) you can do the same with the polls.
See how it is done in my forum, in a 'new post' screen.

already availiable for mods/admins. users can always request it...

Can you split this thread in a "CyberShy's suggestions for new features" and the old one? Just to show of you can do it

                  Guest with capital "G"

and I'm truely totally convinced you can split topics!

                  about my message above,
I hoped the messageboard would show my tags and code as text, but it totally removed it

Thus it was not like I was intended to put some stupid obvious stuff up there, but it was more like the board didn't show what I wanted to type.

now put it in the forum and make a ladder out of it.
If the forum will be transfered to Lotus Domino I know a professional developper who can help developping stuff

And under the current market circumstanses he's not very expensive.

BTW, when will my signature be included in the 'poly quote-thingy? (You can split this up into a new cool thread as well, to show off again Markos!)

In terms of usefulness (aot "just plain cool code"), I like Cybershy's points numbered 4 and 5.

                        4. MC choise polls with option to limit the number of choises.
                        5. Multiple Single Choise polls (ie. have multiple one-option polls in one post
Such polling options would be great in the demo games

                          Cool!

Also #7 would be great, esp in long threads.
Yeah, Moe, that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked! I've seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.
