Solver, I'd be happy to generate another random scenario if you wish. (You mentioned that your version of CtP wouldn't allow scenario creation.)

50/50 map settings for all terrain and goods attributes, EXCEPT Continental / Islands which would be interesting at 80% Island (I think that would see more naval warfare, as you mentioned earlier, Solver). King Level. Raging Hordes. Blood Lust Off. Five Players. Game Name: R2_Islands. Rated Game (see PBEM Ladders).

If we keep the map random, I don't think we need the extra settlers. Just grant more gold, that way you can keep it hidden (in my opinion).

Great! Let's start it up. Solver, I think Arthur should start first. Then move westward, (Sorry King Thor,I believe that puts you last). And I think we agreed to 5000 gold, 1 settler, and all the other settings above.
Sounds like King Thor and Aaginor are old enemies.

If you haven't already pick a civ for me I'll be either the Germans or the Americans.
OK, I'll start the game as soon as I get home. But sorry, Arthur will be second, as the game starter always is first. Though if I find a way to modify it, I'll do that.

In that case, I would just keep the rotation as before from east to west. I.e., it would go: Solver, Aaginor, King Thor, Arthur, quinns, (I don't think it's that's much of a disadvantage going last), just to keep the game moving smoothly. I think that's more important.

Yes, I don't think that it makes much difference who starts first, but I'd recommend a few more settlers, for this will speed up the game.
And King Thor, my butt is safe enough to face the threat of your feet. I just see our first contact in front of my inner eye:
King Thors Warrior: "THERE! THESE EVIL INCAS!!! LET'S GO KICK THEM!"
King Thors wise councelor: "But this is an inca knight ..."

I agree, turn doesn't matter, best thing to do is position everyone for the optimal time zones so that the game goes fast.
Also a couple more settlers would save us 20+ turns of building.
Aaginor: Just because I agree with you on the game stats doesn't mean I'm not gonna rape your women and set your cities on fire .

As far as the extra settlers go. Fine with me, as long as Solver conveniently forgets what the map looks like after he places all the extra units
So what do we have? A total of 3 settlers and 3 warriors plus a total of 5000 gold each? Is that right? Fine.

Solver: Sounds great, I dont think it'll make too much of a difference to us if you take a glimpse of everyone's start. However, if you want to truly balance it out... take screen shots of the starting pos. of everyone and mail it to everyone.
Quinns: hehe.. Yes, I know me & Aaginor sound like we're at each others throat all the time, but I think we get along pretty well. We're just fighting for fun. Dont worry though, you'll see plenty Inca blood, either way.
