He is probably referring to searches either below 4 characters, or searches (of any length) that use the wildcard character *.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I've been having problems with "By User Name" searches, which I use to help me remember where I've posted; they also require me to put in a keyword of at least four letters -- if I could remember enough of what I posted to do that, I wouldn't need the search in the first place!

We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work...After eight years of this Administration, we have just as much unemployment as when we started... And an enormous debt to boot!" — Henry Morgenthau, Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Treasury secretary, 1941.

Maybe if hou were the Gothmog (Lord of Balrogs), instead of Gothmog Lite (Lieutenant of Minas Morgal) the search feature would work better for you.

I don't think the problem is being Gothmog Jr. I think the problem is the proxy server I run in my browser. When I turned off the proxy, the query as described, ran. I hadn't suspected that because other searches I ran with it on worked.
