Although we haven't quite figured out how many whats are in a term....We do need organization.

So, post what you want to run for here.

It makes it easier to find anything. Or you can throw bananas at me and laugh me away. Whichever.

For a person whos party is unknown, it will automatically be listed as "Independant". The person may change this by simply posting.

Note that all uncontested elections will have Banana running in them.

This service is no longer being provided. The stressed and overworked UNN editor has decided never to update the thread. If you are currently residing in a democratic government (University, Peacekeeping, Gaians) then you may petiion him to resume.

TKG> I'd like to limit it to one position per one person. That way everyone will run only for the position he feels the most attracted to.

And after all, you can only be elected in one.

thats true but i thought i read somewhere (maybe it was the civfanatics constitution though) that you could run for 2 positions and if you won both, you choose the one you want, and the other goes to the runner up.

limiting it to one makes it less complicated though.

TKG> Hmm.. yes. But it has its problems, too. If someone wins both, categories for Science and Foreign (just an example) Ministers, and chooses to be Foreign, and the runner-up in the race for Science minister was far behind, the people might feel that their Science minister would be somehow not fit for the job, etc...

So I'd still say it's better with only 1 run per person.

The list seems quite short of runners up for now...but I guess we can count that on the fact that it's been alive for just over an hour.

It may for a short period of time, but as in the Civ3 Demo Game other parties United and then it became a two party system.

That sounds pretty much what's happened in Finlan lately... except that the Left and Right became one party and the Centre was left out.

I really don't appreciate a two-party system, it lacks diversity. But, I guess as long as we have one major party with many who share common idealogues (sic), the other ones will just have to try to persevere and join their forces...

ie. I decide on something, the commisioner can't VETO it or something like that

If the commisioner can veto it then I want to run for COMMISIONER!!!!!!!!

I think in some circumstances the Commisioner can veto the military person.....Which do you want to run for? I can't put you down until I have one answer.
