New 2 vs 2

I am looking to start a new 2 vs 2 MP game. Those are the most fun game that I have played.
I know that markus is interested and maybe Nappy.
Anybody else interested?
Some of the rule that I suggest (up for debate):
deity 1* 1*
teams decided prior to start or after 1000 year of play (1 and 4 vs 2 and 3 on the powergraph)
no tech exchange until the teams have all met

Two suggestions. Eliminate the GL. And have a limit to how long a team has to meet or techs can be traded. We used to sometimes have a team that would delay meeting for a supposed strategic advantage. (i.e. if both partners are well ahead in tech, it can keep the opponents from catching up easier)

Ya these games are good because they can be finished in one, or 2 sittings.

One team will usually conceed at the end of the first session as long as it's a decently long one.

we aren't talking 2x here.. in 2x the game is over after the first hour and a half.

nappy said he will play. I am good for any day but tuesday really

yeah these games dont generally take very long.....makes them enjoyable....

turns don't take 1 hour each

great. It looks like we have 4 players with markus, nappy and species. I can play most nights and week ends as long as I have 2 day notice.
I agree that GL should be remove and players should make an effort to meet asap.
I can play 1 of the following nights this week:
wed/thurs or friday after 8:00 ct.

Ya it will be a slugfest for sure. I agree with the GL.
I start on wed, thursday between 6:00-6:30 pst

i can play any time, i just want to know what time this is in CET (central european time) or in GMT (greenwich main time).

i always liked the great library. why do we play without?

The GL prevents the other team from exchanging techs.
Nappy and I are able to start tonight. Markusf, species are you guys free?
Let's try to start at 20:30CT = 18:30 PST = 2:30 GMT
Is that too early species?
My playing times are usually not good for europeans.

Here is a sumary of the rules that we have agreed:
1* 1* deity med random map restart until no techs no barb
no GL and GW
no exchange of units, gold and cities
sending caravans is ok
the teams were formed at 1000BC after looking at the powergraph:
nappy (romans, #1) and markus (german, #4) vs arii (zulu, #2) and winzity (greeks, #3)
So far 2 wonders have been built:
HG greeks
LH romans

Next session is wednsday (tomorrow) at 8:00ct, 6:00pm pst.
Nappy is also available on thursday. I can also play but will not be able to stay up as late.

After this second session markus and nappy have secured mike, magellan, sun tzu, the collossus, and the pyramids while our team only has the HG.
My boat going towards winzity sank in the 1st turn of this session because I move it to an ocen squarre that I thought was a coast squarre. As a result we did not meet, exchange knowledge and map for another 15-20 turns (our civs are far appart and the only way to get to each other before nav is by going around the pole).
Markus and nappy being able to cooperate way earlier than us have been able to secure the key wonders. It's going to be very hard to catch up.
Next session is next week. I can play any night except wends where I can only start much later.

We only met 10 turns ago, you guys had already been communicating for something like a 1000 years you esetablished an embasy and should have saw that. I can play any night as well, i think this game will only require one or 2 more sessions.

This is nappy availability for next week:
Tues 8:30 pm CDT, Wed 8pm CDT, and Thur 10:30 pm CDT
I can play all those times except that wed I can't strat before 9:30cdt. Mon and friday should also be ok with me.
