  • Scenario editor in PTW : do you mean scripting ,

    Forgive my ignorance, but I couldn't find the answer to my simple question below. If already answered somewhere in this forum, thank you for redirecting me.

    What does the new editor of PTW contains regarding scenario making :
    - event manager ?
    - scripting ?
    - messaging ?
    - dynamic map / unit modifications ?

    All (or many of) these features were present in Civ2, CtP, CtP2 and in other games like AoK.

    Is it really that type of scenario features that is expected ? And which form will it make :
    - dialog boxes (like in AoK)
    - scripting (programming language) like in CtP / CtP2 ?

    AI scripting? I doubt it. That'll be for the 2nd XP!

      I was not thinking of AI scripting in the first place, but rather things like :

      - your unit ABC enters hex location X, Y and it pops up a nice message like "You are surrounded by evil monsters..." and you have new barbarian units appeared on the map, from "nowhere" (but your scenario).
