    it was on CNN even.

They interviewed a girl who went to the party. She agreed with what was done cause "some girls weren't dressed to go to a prom, they were dressed as hookers".

      Well, it's official.

      I have now heard everything.

Anyway, I agree with what many have said; forget getting fired. Those two women need to be locked up; that is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, sexual assault.

I think firing is enough. As bad as this incident is, AH has a good point--it is highly doubtful Wilson's intent was sexual molestation. It sounds to me more like overzealous rule keeping.

          Only in America, huh?

This woman - it's hards to believe that she acted out of anything other than pure maliciousness. She should lose her job; she needs to go see and a psychiatrist. Why didn't someone stop her? Were they too busy enjoying the show?

A student did complain to a teacher about the searches but he was told, "What can I do? She's my boss."

Intent is irrelevant. This was a sexual assault; perhaps one of "low degree", but an assault nonetheless (unless California's sexual assault laws are significantly different than Michigan's). Intent of molestation or not, she knew what she was doing was wrong. She deserves to serve time for this.

No wonder the prisons in the US are so full. They should just get the cops back in and inspect her underwear in front of the entire school at the next opportunity.

I agree that this is not something worth clogging our prisons with. A fine at the most, but I really think firing will be enough, especially given the (understandably) hostile environment she will now have to live with from the community!

Not according to the U.S. Judicial System. Why else would we delineate between first degree murder and manslaughter?

I may not know what I'm talking about (ooh, like that would be a first), but to me it looks like an assault and invasion of privacy. I'm pretty sure sexual assault requires a touching of certain areas of the body.

I don't know if they are labeled as such, but I am reasonably sure there are varying degrees of assualt, sexual assault, etc. (also depends on local laws, I guess)

Just another example of stupid public education tricks. Occasionally they take a couple steps forward when they can only get away with one. Makes you wonder if they're really about educating kids or if they're trying to get them used to a full blown police state all the time. This whole "kids have less rights than prisoners" attidute pisses me off.

If I were one of those parents, the people involved would certainly be finding themselves in court on criminal charges.

Although I'm surprised the toga-checking thing went on that far. I can just see a high-school guy, being asked to prove he's wearing underwear, make a comment about the asker wanting to wrap her lips around his love muscle.

I also have to wonder what they did to students who answered no to the question "Are you wearing underwear?".

sexual assault? what kind of weed are you guys smoking? and can I have some?

This isn't sexual assault!!!! At most it is a invasion of privacy. She should definately lose her job and maybe undergo counseling. But that is it. Hey at least she didn't stick her hand down the girl's pants.
