Shaka, MS Paint should be able to save as .jpeg. JPEGs will appear in the post as an image, not a downloadable file. That might appease the masses...

A map that shows a global view of our empire should be nice to(the worldmap is way to smal to see anything decent and the other maps just show such a small part it's almost impossible to identify where we even are.)

If we can reach that land quickly and safely and our relations with those Indians stay good, I agree with settling in the spot where we get the whales.
A city to the southwest of where you postulate is a good option too.
I think that new island should be a high priority for one city, but future cities there should be less important unless there are more resources found there. It looks just a little too bare at the mo'.
Hey, it may only be my 2 cents, but it seems to be the first response to all those questions.
MSPaint tells me these are not valid bitmaps. Am I doing something wrong? Graphics are not my strong suit.
