I could start thinking about/coding sieges or diplomacy, whichever people out here prefer (my current efforts at getting a war declaration when getting into neutral territory only resulted in frustration and unusable/boring/useless user interface so I might as well do something else).
There are merchants that ply trade routes in D6. But they do it automatically and there's no interface. But that part of the game isn't Too far from being something the player can work on. However I envision trade as something that is mostly encouraged or discouraged overall or by specific commodity by the player, rather than something where individual trade routes are micromanaged. We have to see if that passes the fun test tho...
