Schedule some field trips to churches, synagogues and satanic temples as well. Children need to be educated about all the religions by observing their practices first hand.

German government trying to force children to go to mosque

These thread is giving me headaches.
* Education is in the hands of the States not the 'German Government'
* The Fine is not for 'resisting going into a mosque' but for 'not going to school' or simply put: Pupils are not forced to take part in these expeditions, but if they don't participate they have to go to class (which is problematic on its own as for the school it means they need teaching personel and furthermore as most of the pupils are on a trip they can't teach curriculum)
* The parents chose to make a political statement on their childs back, which big surprise won't fly with neither bureaucracy nor Judicative
* Had the Pupil gone to school instead: no problem
* Had they called the Child in sick: no actionable problem (Usually a Doctors note is requires after 2 days of absence)
* Had the Pupil gone to the mosque and refused to enter: Depending on the Age of the pupil and the number of escorting teachers this could've led to an abortion of the trip and back to school for regular classes (That'll surely make some friends in class)
All in all this is one of those 'protests' which are best ignored as I somehow feel I should have done regarding this thread.. :Viking:

Wow. That about kills the premise of this thread lol.
Thanks for the clarification. So the kid was never forced to go to the Mosque. For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

Of course this is all about making people believe that Islam is a religion of peace, much like Satanism tries to make people think they aren't just about hating Christians.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

I do think that school officials are kind of acting like Dicks for being so adamant. Religion can be kind of a sensitive and personal topic and should be treated accordingly.
That being said, I think the parents are closed minded douches for arguing

To me
that you don't want your child to go to a mosque because you don't want them to become a muslim,It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

There are religious lessons at school, but split into evangelical, catholic or muslim, dependant on the belief of the kids.
(although AFAIK in many schools there are no special muslim religiou8s classes and the pupils are instead religously educated in a religious sunday school of their parish ... same goes for small christian sects, jerws buddhists and other religions wjhere the school offers no specific religion class ... these pupils also don't need to visit the normal religous classes and havbe free time during the hour where religous classes are held)
And the majority of the time pupils in those religious classes are taught about their own religion ... there is just maybe 1 school year out of 10/12/13 years (at least it was so during my time), where pupils also are taught also about the beliefs of other religions (and may do excursions to other religions temples, like the class in the OP did)Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. The class stays together and the teacher is in front, explaining everything (sometimes also having parents or assistant teachers with them btw.)
More or less like a guided museum tour.
There surely is no:
O.K., now you are free to play with those muslims in the mosque

But that is not the point. The point is that the parents didn't want their children to go to the mosque. The reasonable thing to do is just ignore this. But the school is making a point about this for political reasons. That further proves that this is all political. Would they be doing this is the parents didn't want their children to go to the local museum?I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

If they never talk to Muslims there why even go? No. You can't tell me that the Muslims don't talk to them.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?
