Well, the argument seems to be a difference of opinion between what Kidicious believes the pope said and what he actually said.

I generally avoid being on the same side as Kidicious' head canon.
Eat ****. It should be assumed that there's nothing wrong with the source. If you think it's a lie prove it.

A church should try to attract people to it regardless of their political beliefs. This is what the Pope is claiming to do but he's doing the opposite. In effect, he's making the catholic church a liberal church. Soon they will have gay priest etc, in part so that conservatives, who they hate, will not go.

It's only a matter of time Kenobi. You might as well leave sooner than later.

Explain one thing he's said that doesn't follow Jesus teachings. Christianity IS socialist, you bellend.

One thing is being a hypocrite. I said that. You and BK are equally horrible.

Socialism is a political philosophy based in materialism. It is not a religion, and it is not spiritual. Christianity has nothing to do with politics.

I quoted your source in it's entirety. It doesn't say anything about conservatives specifically.

If you think the pope is a leftist, or want to discuss Rerum Novarum, feel free. Do you want me to link the encyclical?

Yes? I found the Catholic church quite attractive. Are you claiming I'm not conservative enough?

Well, seeing as the Catholic church is quite firm in arguing that homosexual acts are sinful, I'm not sure what your beef is with them. They also oppose contraception, etc. Is there another church that takes such a hardline stance?

I've been protestant. I used to belong to a church that was founded by a Catholic priest. Why not go to the source of Christianity and not some half-bit johnny come lately?

By his own intentions he is being perceived as anti-conservative. So yeah, people perceive that he's talking about conservatives and he is. In effect, he's trying to lure leftists to the catholic church, who will believe only in politics and not be followers of Christ.

Well that's far too much stupid to bother even debating.

Churches become either leftist or conservative. It's happening to all churches. You will either lure in liberals or conservatives. I'm Methodist. We're suppose to be the most moderate. Yet I can see my little church change as political extremists chase away moderates. Slowly the church becomes a bunch of extremists.

Good. You're an idiot who thinks Christianity is socialism. Thanks for not wasting my time.

Perception and reality are two different things.

                          Like yourself I suppose?

No. You missed my point. He's creating a leftist church.

I explained what's wrong with it. It creates division and conformity. It creates a political organization, not a church.
