Wait... So they're going to call Windows 9 Windows 10? I know Windows 8 has been a complete piece of **** and they were rushing out 9 in response but do they really think this will get more people to upgrade when it looks like virtually everything which made 8 a turd is being kept?

I might just switch to Linux.

That at least made sense as, at the time, they were going to name each release by the year it was released. Kind of like a car. Sadly, they ditched that scheme when it turned out people weren't willing to pay to upgrade any faster.

Windows 8 is actually 6.2 and Windows 8.1 is 6.3. I wouldn't be surprised if Windows 10 is version 6.4. It's all building off of Vista (6.0), so the official numbers can be whatever the Hell they feel like . They already basically are.

It´s a pity ... I looked forward to get my next Laptop with a good Windows OS (i.e. Windows 9) ....
but now, due to the law of odd and even Windows version numbers, I can expect my next Laptop to have an OS, as bad as Windows 8 (or even worse) .... i.e. Windows 10
