Why not? What is the difference how to use dead babbies: as fuel to get warm/electricity or as fodder for domestic animals?

I want to see you come up with an even more ridiculous, fantastical hypothetical. Go on.

There is a reason that 'respecting the remains of the dead' in every culture was linked with religion of that culture. Without some sort of religious faith, what possible meaning is there in human remains? If you believe humans have value in their consciousness, how does that apply when that consciousness leaves them?

You would find a very strong emotional tie in most people to the body of their loved one who had passed, with or without religion. I certainly wouldn't want to see the bodies of my departed loved ones desecrated, even though I don't have a religion of my own.

I would say that the correlation you are talking about probably worked in the opposite direction. People with emotional ties to the departed being one of the factors leading to religious ceremonies coming about, rather than meaning of human remains being brought about by religion.

I personally would hope that my body be useful after my death. I think burning organic matter to generate heat/electricity is short-sighted though. Much better to dump it in an anaerobic digestion chamber, harvest the methane, use the methane for fuel, and use the "waste" for organic fertilizers. Bonus for making people rethink the morality of organic vs GMO

Of course the ultimate after-death purpose would be to be a reanimated corpse or cyborg. I'd really hope they weld a chainsaw on there somewhere...

I would draw the line at necrophilia though ... unless she was really hot.

You people are sick and don't even realize how immoral it is to use dead human bodies for profit. That's just immoral for any human being, regardless of his religion.
Capitalism and post-modern has screwed you all entierly. A century ago such thing would have caused wide outrage on the West, 'cause you were Christians back then. Now you are obviously not. You are just human robots without any moral and understanding of what is good and what is wrong.

If we're just human robots without any moral, then why not use us for fuel? Or better yet ... human/robot cyborgs!

Serb, you're going crazy. You shouldn't take that much steroids. A human body is just a human body.
