Arizona's new anti-gay law.

I'm pretty sure within the next few days, the right-wing Arizona governor will sign this into law.

This law does not only concern gay people (thread title though, points out to main motivating factor for this new law). This will open doors to all kinds of discrimination, public humiliation, and harassment that can target all kinds of people.

A Muslim business owner can deny a Christian service if he/she so chooses to do so.

And does this new Arizona law also include state/public employees, allowing them to discriminate? If so, a police officer can deny any needed service to a woman if the officer knows that that woman had committed adultery against her husband.

A business owner can deny a veteran/soldier (gay or straight) service, if the business owner claims that violence and war is against his religious belief and values.

A business owner can deny service to an interracial married couple if he claims that interracial marriage goes against his religious belief and values.

Given the broad scope of this law, how well will it hold up in court?

Last I checked it was the Christians who are having their livelihood attacked. The more we hear about bakers been persecuted because of their religious beliefs, the greater need for a law to protect their beliefs.

Actions have consequences.

The more homosexual folks engage in outright hyperbole against the restraint of the law, the greater they will expose their own lack of respect for the preservation of natural rights.

Actually I hope people use this to discriminate against all of the bigoted Christians. It would be fitting. It's time that their type of attitude is punished. I'm ashamed of my fellow Christians. To me, that's not what being a Christian is all about. And I'm sure Ben will come along and tell me that I'm not really a Christian because I don't participate in his perverted form of religious justified bigotry.

Absolutely. So don't assume that because you have the right to believe in the supernatural nonsense of your choosing, that your right to believe that nonsense trumps other people's civil rights.
