I don't know. It's possible that Tom DeLay can be so deranged/extremist/stupid as to sincerely believe what he spewed out of his mouth.
Interesting to hear a Christian doubt the divinity of the Holy Spirit.

I must repeat, we're talking about politicians.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

it will sound to radical leftist Americans?
I'm not sure they are his intended audience.

              Dear Mr. Delay,

The Constitution is based on Masonic principle...not Christian principle. If you will actually read the history of your country, you would know this as well as the fact that there were several agnostics involved in the drafting of the Constitution.

Nice Try and I am sure your contributions from the Christian Right Wing are safe. Now, if its not to much trouble, could you actually work on the country's problems instead of your own religious agenda?

              Thanks,

              U.S. Citizens

Felch is a heretic. FDR was clearly the Antichrist and the so-called "21st amendment" is a defacement of the Word of God.

I agree with FDR being the antichrist.

Is it just me, or was there a correlation between Founders' politics and religiosity? I've been digging through Wikipedia just now.

Federalists: Hamilton (somewhat unconventional, on-and-off Christian), Adams (Christian, some Deist ideas), Jay (devoutly Christian), Washington (lukewarm Episcopalian, refused to take communion)

Anti-Federalists: Jefferson (Deist, denied Trinity and divinity of Jesus), Madison (unclear, probably Deist), Paine (loathed Christianity, Deist?), Monroe (attended Episcopalian services, devotion unclear)

I can't tell what side to put Franklin on religiously or politically, amiable and conciliatory fellow that he was. But it seems significant to me.

If God wrote the constitution then all the Amendments are trying to change His work, and should be repealed. This is indisputable.

Maybe Moses did not come down from the mountain with the Ten Commandments. Maybe the ones who wrote Exodus got it wrong, and he came down from the mountain with the U.S. Constitution.
