Why can't you move your practice to someplace in civilization if you hate Ohio so much?

Maybe he's not now. Time flies. No one would choose to live in Ohio, though...

Residency ended a while ago, but that's where I found a job.

Hard to pick up and move when you're already six figures in debt to the Dept. of Ed.

He did his residency in Michigan IIRC. Granted that's another festering hellhole but w/e.

Unfortunately, pediatricians don't make surgeon pay. They ought to, considering what they go through, but they don't

You couldn't be wronger, on both counts.

                      Did residency here in Columbus.

I'm only wrong on one count. Michigan is a festering hellhole and in what other state would a police department declare a city too dangerous for normal people to inhabit.

My best friend is a Biomedical Engineering major at UVA, her life dream is to become a pediatrician. Actually, she's hoping to shadow a pediatrician at some point this summer, I didn't realize that was a thing prospective med students do. Do you know anything about that, Guynemer?

Detroit does not equal Michigan. Detroit is a festering hellhole. The rest of Michigan ranges from boring as **** to pretty ****ing rad. (Flint is also a festering hellhole, of course.)

Oh yeah. We had someone shadow us for a month last winter; pretty common thing. Best of luck to her; pediatrics is pretty fun most of the time. When it is bad, it is hard to find anything worse; luckily, the times that it is bad are few and far between.
