Dear lord, do names like Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame not mean anything to you? How about former CIA chief of covert affairs in Europe, Tyler Drumheller?

What exactly does it take to make you people actually start asking questions of your government?

When the other party controls the government they love to ask. Look at this thread.

You're asking a Republican partisan to be non-partisan.

Did you sleep through the previous decade? Iraq did have chemical weapons prior to the first Gulf War. That much is known, after all they used them openly against Iranian troops and Kurds. After the first Gulf War they were ordered to get rid of their CBW stockpiles, dismantle their production equipment, and cease any research into producing nuclear weapons. They apparently complied fully. Inspectors were then sent to scour the country and came up empty-handed. To keep the possibility that Iraq might be welching on the deal they made a ridiculous demand, a demand to inspect at their free discretion Saddam Hussein's residences. Hussein had 7 palaces scattered around Iraq. At the time he moved from palace to palace on a daily basis because he was scared that the CIA was going to assassinate him. Then there was the made up stuff about buying special pipes for uranium purification and attempts to buy uranium in Africa. There was never even a shred of evidence that Hussein was making nukes or even that he had violated the order to dispose of CBW.

They'd have a better case for that with post 76 rather than this one.

                  • That one's just too easy. The idea that the Tea Party was secretly about racism and that the whole "reduce the size of government" thing is a front. Mhm.

New rule: anyone who suggests Iraq War related conspiracy theories immediately goes on ignore, along with truthers and birthers and anyone who denies that we landed on the moon.

So, it turns out that there WAS an AC-130 over Benghazi, and that it was ordered not to fire. Not only that, but the targets it would have fired at were almost certainly sufficiently distant to safely engage without hitting American personnel. I suppose they were worried about civilian casualties? If true, that would be sickening, since our people who died were civilians too.

There are a bunch of links to choose from if you google "Benghazi AC-130."

                          • At the risk of being put on any ignore lists ... I must say that we definitely invaded Iraq to destroy evidence that the moon landings were faked.

                            Follow the trail ...

The moon landing footage was shot in Afghanistan.

After the Soviets found out the truth they wanted to fake their own moon landing too, so invaded Afghanistan.

Al Qaeda is the remnants of the CIA trained force we backed to keep the Soviets from being able to fake their own moon landing and thus keep our hegemony on fake moon landings.

Al Qaeda were pissed off that we stopped "going to the moon" as it made it less likely that China would invade Afghanistan to fake their own moon landing, and thus we wouldn't have to hire them to keep the Chinese "off the moon". Enraged at our pulling the plug on their income stream, Al Qaeda threatened to tell everyone the truth, negotiations on further faked moon landings broke down in early 2001.

This is why Bush coordinated 9/11, as he knew he had to discredit Al Qaeda before they went public.

The CIA in coordination with Pixar created "Osama" to claim responsibility for the attacks.

After being discredited by 9/11 and Pixar, Al Qaeda knew no one would believe them about the faked moon landings, so they shipped all the evidence to the only person who was willing to stand up to us, Saddam.

                            "WMDs" = "Written Moonlanding Documents"

We found out about this move of the WMDs too late, and had already invaded Afghanistan.

Our invasion of Afghanistan forced Al Qaeda to hole up in places like Indonesia, where they ended up destroying Obama's citizenship records (as well as his Kenyan birth certificate) as it was the closest thing to "American" they could lay their hands on.

Of course it doesn't end there. Don't get me started on Romney, and how we were using Mormons to infiltrate the Soviet Union and China before the collapse of communism...

                            • Is there any evidence that the forces in that area had identified the location of the mortars firing on the Consulate compound? One of the advantages of mortars is that they're extremely easy to conceal.

In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.
