It's actually a pretty huge complement to Obama's foreign policy successes that this pathetic crap is the best you guys have to try and attack him with. This was a ****up by a low level official responsible for embassy security, the idea that this stuff is handled at (or anywhere near) presidential level is laughable.

Given the adamant refusal to do so from the Admin, what rationale do you see for them to keep the place open?
The ONLY request for Benghazi came THE day of the attack so once again you are full of it. The prior ones, which you kept talking about, were for Tripoli not Benghazi.

You, sir, are a lying sack of ****.

Meanwhile, a scale-down in security personnel was taking place in spite of requests from the embassy that numbers remain constant. Eric Nordstrom, a former Regional Security Officer serving in Tripoli earlier this year, testified that cables to the U.S. state department requesting a steady state of five temporary duty (TDY) Diplomatic Security personnel in Benghazi and at least 13 security personnel total had been ignored. At the time of the attacks, only three DS personnel were present that had been assigned to the site. Nordstrom sent the requests even though Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb had asked him by phone not to do so, citing, he testified, political reasons.

Closing the consulate as the British did with their compound and leaving with other organizations wouldn't have had anything to do with the deaths of the people on 9/11/12? Is that really your contention?

                    That long?
yes, why not? how long did it take before Obama told us we got OBL?

                    a 1/2 day?

was Obama supposed to call a press conference in the middle of the night to announce an attack in Benghazi?

From the incident to the president, not the president to us.

How does a photo of Obama watching the raid on OBL's compound in Pakistan relate to waiting a day or less to inform us about the attack in Benghazi?

That's the situation room, which was one of the earliest locations to be contacted about the attack.

What is mildly amusing here is that the same people that let Bush off the hook for the original 9-11 as "noone could have known", and the Iraq war run up based on pure fabrications as "the intelligence service failed", are pounding on Obama here for Behghazi. Mildly amusing.

I'm pretty sure Bush had a video feed of the towers once he got back in the SUV.

The situation room is, at most, a couple hundred feet from Obama's bedroom.
