My guess is that he chose slightly different responses that effectively represent the political angle, by picking the "choose other options" thing. It's worth noting that it says he scored reasonably closely with Virginians.

People generally tend to get more right wing as they get older, as the fresh-faced idealism of youth is slowly crushed and replaced with cynicism; as they become more successful and become part of the 'haves' and not the 'have nots' and decide they'd rather keep their stuff and the life they've become accustomed to...i'm a little confused that i seem to be more left wing than both mike and mobius. you're getting conservative in your old age!
These days I prefer to think of myself as more of a realistic egalitarian than left or right wing - in fact I've never perceived myself as either left or right wing as such.
