They're doing it for Google. If Apolyton (and a billion other forums) don't link to www.cheapforklifts.org then Google has no idea what the site is about or if it's any good.

On a related note, sort of, I once had Facebook pester me for weeks with an ad for an abortion-provider directory. Obviously this was not good ad placement, I'm assuming it was because I have a FB friend who's vehemently pro-life and mentions the A-word a lot in her posts. My question is, do these people think anyone actually considering an abortion posts about it on FB?
