Dumb rednecks hate Obama. This was already seen in 2008.

(emphasis added)Federal Inmate Keith Judd Receiving Sizable Percent of Vote in West Virginia Democratic Primary
Barack Obama was not the only Democrat on the ballot on Tuesday in West Virginia’s Democratic Presidential Primary. Keith Judd — also known as Inmate No. 11593-051 at the Federal Correctional Institution in Texarkana, Texas — was running against him.
Judd, who is serving out a 17.5 year sentence for extortion, currently has received 40 percent of the vote, with 83 percent of precincts reporting, according to The Associated Press. Obama currently has received 60 percent of the vote.
Obama’s lack of popularity in West Virginia has been well-documented. The state’s governor Earl Ray Tomblin and it’s junior senator Joe Manchin, both Democrats, have kept their distance from the president.
A further potential embarrassment for the Democrats, as The Charleston Gazette reports, Judd only needs 15 percent of the vote — which, indeed, it looks like he has accomplished — in order to be entitled to have at least one delegate represent him at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. this summer.
Judd would not be the first Democratic challenger to Obama to qualify for delegate representation at the 2012 Democratic National Convention. In Oklahoma’s Democratic primary in March, Randall Terry, a Democratic candidate who founded the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue and has more than 50 arrests under his belt, received 18 percent of the vote in the primary, giving him one delegate.
It is unknown what type of affect Judd’s status as a federal prisoner might have on the delegate allocation and selection to the convention.

57% reporting, Obama 66,930, Federal inmate Keith Judd 40,392 in the WV Democratic primary. Obama will lose some delegates at this pace.
Wow.
Yes the turnout is low, but let me put it this way--there are over forty thousand people in West Virginia who think that a federal inmate would make a better president.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

Well, Obama did increase his percentage from 26% in 2008 to 60% in 2012. the big difference being that Hillary was never convicted.
ACK!
"Foof." - Sasquatch.

YES IT'S CLEARLY A DUMB REDNECK RACIAL ISSUE. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO AT ALL WITH OBAMA'S PLAN, FIRST STATED IN JANUARY 2008, TO COMPLETELY BANKRUPT THE WEST VIRGINIAN ECONOMY AND THE COAL INDUSTRY THAT SUPPORTS IT.
Watch this video and ponder the FACT that you are a race baiting IDIOT![]()

It should read "dumb rednecks hate black people" because you know that is their primary motivation. They're loyal democrats as long as it's not a black person on the ballot but they're most certainly racist trash from Appalachia and they know they don't like people with melanin enhanced skin.
Anyone who claims race isn't one of the primary factors is as dumb as DD.

...and how much experience do you have with West Virginia, Dinner? For example, have you ever lived there, or had extended contact with anyone from there?

Driving through was enough, yes, I lived in Maryland at one time which put me in close enough proximity for weekend trips. Yes, West Virginians are dirt poor, yes, they're old school, yes, they have less education than your average flea on a house dog, but, never let it be said they will not continue fighting racial battles a half century after the rest of the country has moved on. They're just that dumb and backwards.
Race is massive there and only a fool would say other wise. They'll all happily vote Democratic until they run a black guy and then most of them will suddenly not vote for the guy. Race is THE issue.

I've been to West Virginia and found it to be a fairly agreeable place.

I'm impressed that you became acquainted with the majority of the state's population of 1.8 million on your weekend trips. I always knew you were a people person!

In exit polls a rather large number of West Virginians even admitted the reason they voted one way was because of race. Imagine how many of them were doing it but wouldn't own up to it in an exit poll.

A tireless, thankless, patriotic duty. Whenever a dog knocks over a bottle of heartworm pills and eats the entire contents, whenever a cat who happens to be taking a topical flea ointment is run over by a car, whenever a seventeen year old farmhand "accidentally" stabs himself in the leg with the needle of antibiotics intended for his father's cows - I am there, eight years later, fixing typos made by my coworkers in the reports they transcribe from the pharmaceutical companies that document these adverse drug experiences. Why isn't there an American flag-waving smiley? Damn you, Cybershy, damn you.
What about you? (Besides the obvious, of course.)

Back in the U.S. looking for work. Ideally I'd like to break into manufacturing and acquire some of the legendary "job skills" my English degree didn't give me. Did an interview with a local company Monday, waiting to hear back. Is your current job better or worse than doing tech writer work for that grim lady who interviewed me lo those many years ago?

No, since he has several decades of direct personal experience with the sun and the heat it produces. As opposed to What Everybody Knows, which is more often than not BS. At least he finally posted exit polls, which are sort of like hard data.
EDIT: Except that, on examining the exit polls he posted, the data is ambiguous; there was strong overlap between the "race was a factor" crowd and the "Obama agrees with Jeremiah Wright" crowd. Which means that race could very well have been a factor only in the "he thinks all white people are his enemies so screw him" sense, although his HuffPost source reads it to mean "they think all black people think alike." Not "he agrees with some of the crazier views of the pastor of a church he went to for years," "all black people think alike." FFS...

How about the "Obama is killing coal" crowd?
