Given that one can get a free car in 2 years with a 30k limit, (meaning less than 40k), and the driver likes to go very fast, what would you suggest? aesthetics matter. Person in question likes last gen eclipses, evo x, mazda6, other fast, cool looking cars. Also one I won't die in if I crash during a race. Thanks.

    Fisker Karma or like

Edit: not because it's green - just because it'll kick your arse.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Such a vehicle doesn't exist. Get a better hobby.

I should point out that the turning circle and acceleration may be considered disappointing.

May I suggest a reconditioned '99 Pontiac Grand AM SE coupe. You should be able to find one rebuilt to spec for under $20,000. You can comfortably cruise around 120 kph, but can do significantly better. Make sure you have wide tires; since the car is built close to the ground, this will negate the chances of rolling over at high speeds.Click image for larger version

Pretty simple. Take a mid-priced two-door car you like and make sure to get it with a v6 engine.

Honestly, the best sports coupe being made right now in your price range is the Hyundai Genesis, but few give Hyundai any respect for being cool.

Then it comes down to what kind of racing you want it to be best at. Quarter mile? Drifting? Rally? NASCAR? They all have cars that fit them.

I'm feeling suddenly nostalgic for the days when you only wanted us to help you protect yourself from reckless teenage sex. If an activity involves multiple cars moving at high speeds in close proximity, it's not really capable of being safe.
